Mr. Gilberto Sayão da Silva is one of our founding partners and the Chairman of our board of directors. He was previously a partner at Banco Pactual and oversaw the areas of investments, corporate finance and hedge funds. From 2006 to 2009, he was the principal executive for UBS Pactual Alternative Investment Management. From 1998 to 2009, he was part of the executive committees of Banco Pactual and UBS Pactual. He studied Electrical Engineering at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, or PUC-Rio.

Mr. Alessandro Monteiro Morgado Horta is one of our founding partners and serves as our CEO and a member of our board of directors. He previously served as vice-president for Banco UBS Pactual and as an executive for UBS Pactual Alternative Investment Management from 2006 to 2009. At Banco Pactual, he served as managing partner, chief operating officer and also led the Long-Term Investments division from 2001 to 2006. He was also a partner of Banco Icatu from 1998 to 2001. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from PUC-Rio.

Partner of Vinci Partners’ Investment Solutions team. He has more than 20 years of experience in the financial market in the Portfolio Management area. He worked at Banco Modal’s Long & Short funds management team between 2007 and 2011. Previously, he participated in the variable income strategy of Banco Liberal’s multimarket funds. He holds a degree in Economics from UCAM and an MBA in Finance from PUC-Rio.

Responsible for Vinci Strategic Partners. Antonio joined Vinci Partners in 2012 in our Private Equity strategy. Prior to Vinci, he worked at Goldman Sachs and Dynamo as part of the management team. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from IBMEC and an MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Chairman of Vinci Partners’ Private Equity team and Head of Investor Relations. He is a member of the Board of Directors of several Vinci portfolio companies, such as Austral, CBO, Vitru, Uniasselvi, Domino’s Pizza, Grupo CURA and Vero Internet. Mr. Zaremba started his career in 1996 at Banco Pactual, where he worked as a sell side equity research analyst. After becoming partner of the firm in 2001, he was assigned to lead Banco Pactual’s proprietary equity and debt investments in the U.S. Between 2006 and 2009, he worked at UBS Pactual Gestora de Investimentos Alternativos, already with strong involvement with Private Equity. Joined Vinci Partners in 2009 as a partner, where he is fully involved with the PE strategy since the beginning. Mr. Zaremba studied Economics at PUC-Rio, is a certified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and completed the OPM 50 program at the Harvard Business School.

Co-head of the Vinci Partners’ Private Equity team. He actively participated in the fundraising, investment, monitoring and divestment processes of 3 Private Equity funds, which together invested a total of USD1.6 billion in more than 30 companies. He served on the Fiscal and Administration Councils of companies such as Cemar, Ceagro, Los Grobo, Burger King, Uniasselvi, Domino´s, Grupo CURA and Vero and since 2021 has been part of ABVCAP’s (Brazilian Association of Private Equity and Venture Capital) Deliberative Council. In addition, he held positions as an executive of some portfolio companies being CFO of Sollus and Los Grobo, and CEO of Uniasselvi (interim) and Domino´s between 2018 and 2020. Before joining Vinci, he was an Equity Research analyst at Credit Suisse, where he participated in several IPO transactions between 2006 and 2007. Previously, he worked as a stock analyst at Banco Modal. He holds a degree in Economics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and the Università degli Studi di Bologna (Bologna, Italy).

Responsible for Vinci Partners’ Mergers, Acquisition and Capital Market department. From 2008 to 2009, he was a top executive at UBS Pactual Gestora de Investimentos Alternativos, where he was responsible for sourcing, managing and analyzing investments in private and publicly traded companies. From 1998 to 2008 he was VP at JP Morgan’s Corporate Finance department, advising on mergers and acquisitions initially in Brazil and, later on, in New York, focusing on Latin America. He graduated in Business Administration at Ibmec RJ and has an Executive MBA from Columbia Business School in New York.

CIO, responsible for Vinci Partners’ Public Equities and Investment Solutions departments. He was managing partner at RiskOffice from 1999 to 2007 and became director in 2007, when RiskOffice was sold to Algorithmics. Throughout his career he has worked on sourcing of institutional clients and product development. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a master’s degree from Escola Politécnica of Universidade de São Paulo.

Co-head of the Vinci Partners’ Private Equity team, Gabriel has been a member of the Board of Directors of several companies in the Vinci portfolio, such as Burger King, Unidas and Cecrisa, and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Austral, CBO, Le Biscuit, Vero and Agibank. He joined the Private Equity group of UBS Pactual Gestora de Investimentos Alternativos in 2007. From 2008 to 2010, he was assigned to portfolio company InBrands, where he acted as CEO and CFO. Prior to that, he worked as an analyst at Banco BBM venture capital operations, as a management consultant at McKinsey & Co., as a M&A manager at Vivo and as an associate at GP Investimentos. He holds a degree in Engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Partner responsible for Vinci Partners’ Economic Strategy. Additionally, he is a director of the Instituto de Estudos de Política Econômica/Casa das Garças Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was a chief economist at Paineiras Investimentos, Banco Pactual and JGP, where he was also a founding partner. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from UFRJ, a master’s degree in Economics from PUC-Rio and a Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University, USA.

Responsible of the Vinci Partners’ Infrastructure department. Prior to joining Vinci Partners, he worked for Banco Pactual since 2005 as co-manager of FIP Brasil Energia USD 560 million. Prior to this, he was a management consultant for Stern Stewart & Co., from 2001 to 2004. Previously, he had five years of experience in equity sales and trading with Citigroup Asset Management and Banco Graphus. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Escola Federal de Engenharia de Itajubá and an MBA with a major in Corporate Finance and Accounting from University of Rochester, New York (Beta Gamma Sigma award).

Responsible for Vinci Partners’ Impact and Return strategy. From 2003 to 2008 he worked at UBS Pactual managing the Nordeste Empreendedor fund, an investment fund focused on SME in the Northeast of Brazil. He was also part of the PCP I fund. Joined Vinci Partners in 2009 as a partner, being involved with the Private Equity strategy. Was as a member of the Board of Directors of several Vinci portfolio companies, such as Unidas and Burger King. From 2012 until 2016 Mr. Pano was CEO of Cecrisa. Prior to this, he was founder and CEO of LID Group, a venture capital investment company in South America. Previously, he spent six years at Booz & Co in Buenos Aires, Bogota, Singapore and Jakarta offices. He was also a senior consultant at Accenture and worked as a financial analyst for Intel Corporation in Oregon, USA. He graduated in Industrial Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina, and has an MBA from the University of Washington, Seattle, USA.

Partner responsible for Compliance and Legal at Vinci Partners. Lawyer with 18 years’ experience in the capital markets. Previously Federal Prosecutor, Chief Sub-Prosecutor and Chief Prosecutor with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Brazil (CVM). Took a course of specialization in capital market regulation at UFRJ. Holds a master’s degree in commercial law from USP.

Head of the Real Estate Group of Vinci Partners. Previously, he was the CFO and IRO of BRMalls where he was responsible for investors relations, funding strategy, acquisitions and monitoring financial operations performance of greenfield and brownfield developments. Before, worked for Banco Pactual from 2004 to 2006 in its Investment Banking Division covering the Real Estate sector. From 1999 to 2004, he was Partner and the head of the Real Estate Group at Banco CR2. From 1994 to 1999, he was co-head of the Real Estate Group of Banco BBM. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from PUC-Rio and an EP Degree from Stanford University.

Responsible for Vinci Partners Research Department. He was a director at Equatorial Energia. From 2006 to 2009, he worked at UBS Pactual Gestora de Investimentos Alternativos, where he was actively involved in sourcing, managing and analyzing equity investments. In 2000, he joined Banco Pactual and took on the role of senior commodities analyst in the Equity Research department. Before joining Banco Pactual, he spent eight years at Esso. He studied Electronic Engineering at PUC-Rio and has been certified as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Responsible for Vinci Partners’ Credit Department. Between 2006 and 2009, he was managing director in UBS Pactual’s Fixed Income department, responsible for all Latin American Credit, and was also appointed to run the Leverage Finance division. At Pactual, he was head of credit for 15 years, having become a partner in 1999. He was responsible for a Credit Research unit dedicated to fixed income assets in the domestic and international markets. He was also appointed to run a Special Situations group, dedicated to high yield and distressed opportunities, and in the following year he established and managed an asset backed lending division responsible for structured credit among small and medium enterprises in Brasil. He studied Economics at Universidade Candido Mendes and holds an MBA in Finance from Ibmec RJ.

Responsible for Vinci Partners’ Local Institutional department.  He was a managing partner for RiskOffice from 1999 to 2007. In 2007, when RiskOffice was sold to Algorithmics, Marcelo joined Vinci’s Sales department. Prior to this, he worked as managing partner of PR&A since 1994. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from FEA-USP, a master’s degree in Statistics from IME-USP and a Ph.D. from Universidade de São Paulo.

Responsible for Vinci SPS. Marcelo joined Vinci Partners in 2022 after the acquisition of SPS Capital. Mr. Mifano started his career at Banco Santander, where he was assigned to lead proprietary investments in illiquid equities and other proprietary investment units in fixed income and macro trading. In 2011, Marcelo joined BTG Pactual as head of Corporate Special Situations and then in 2017, he founded SPS Capital. Mr. Mifano is a CFA, holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from POLI-USP, and an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Marcia is currently the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and partner at Vinci Partners’ Financial department, a position she holds since 2010. Marcia has over 25 years of experience in the financial market. Between 1997 and 2010, she worked at Banco Pactual, focusing on IT and Market Risk. Prior to that, she held positions in the IT departments of PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Manufactures Hannover Arrend Mercantil. Marcia holds a bachelor’s degree in Data Processing Technology from PUC-Rio, a post-graduate certificate in Information Systems Management from UFF, and dual MBAs: one in Finance from IBMEC-RJ and another in Financial Management, Auditing, and Controllership from FGV.

Head of Vinci Partners’ Investment Solutions – New York. From 2010 to 2015 was the CFO at Austral Insurance and Reinsurance, a Vinci portfolio company. Previously, he was head of Vinci’s National Back Office. In 2008 he was head of UBS Pactual’s Back Office, and prior to that, head of Operational Risk for Latin America. Michel started his career at Banco Pactual as a currency exchange trader and then became responsible for the Operational Risk department. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering from UFRJ and a graduate degree in Economics, also from UFRJ and a master’s degree in Risk from NYU.

Partner of the Vinci Partners’ Distribution for Individual Investors team. He was previously Vinci Partners’ head of Equities. He has worked in Vinci’s Financial Advisory and, before that, in Morgan Stanley and UBS Pactual, where he headed institutional equity sales for Europe, the Middle East and Asia. He was also partner at Banco Pactual, having more than 15 years’ experience in the capital markets. He has a degree in Business Administration from FGV-EAESP.

Partner of the Vinci Partners’ Human Resources team. She joined the Vinci team in 2012. From 2010 to 2012 she was head of talent management at Banco Modal. Previously, from 2003 to 2010, she led the areas of T&D and R&S at Icatu Seguros. Prior to that, she worked at Tim Brasil, Opportunity and Banco Brascan, where she started her career. Patricia holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Universidade Santa Ursula, an MBA in Business Management from FGV, with extension at Ohio University and an International Certificate in Coaching from the International Association of Coaching Institute (ICI).

Head of Vinci Partners’ International Structuring and Investor Relations team. From 2008 to 2009, he was a member of the Private Equity team of UBS Pactual Gestora de Investimentos Alternativos where he was responsible for sourcing, monitoring and analyzing investments in private and publicly traded companies. From 2009 to 2015, he was a partner and member of the Investment Committee of Vinci Partners’ Real Estate team and partner of Vinci Partners’ Private Equity and Infrastructure teams. Prior to joining UBS Pactual, he worked at Credit Suisse’s Investment Banking division, Iposeira Gestão de Ativos and at Oi. From 1998 to 2000, he worked at Internet start-up companies for GP Investimentos and at Playcenter S.A. He holds a degree in Civil and Industrial Engineering from PUC-Rio and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Responsible of the Vinci Partners’ Equities Management. Since 2010 Roberto is the portfolio manager responsible for the Mosaico strategy, and from 2012 to 2017, he was founding partner and portfolio manager at Mosaico Capital. From 2003 to 2009, Roberto was co-portfolio manager and head of research at GAS Investimentos. He started his career at Banco BBA as a sell side analyst. He holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in Business Administration from FGV-SP.

Responsible for Human Resources, Business Management, ESG and Marketing & Communications. Prior to joining Vinci Partners, he was a partner at the global strategy consulting firm Booz & Company responsible for the consumer goods & retail sectors in Brazil. Before that, Roberto was a financial analyst for Banco Pactual. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from PUC-Rio and an MBA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Responsible for Vinci Partners Allocation and Distribution Department. He was a partner at Banco Pactual and co-head of UBS Pactual Asset Management, responsible for the area of distribution. He was previously responsible for the Pactual Asset Management’s Distribution Partnerships department. Before joining Pactual, he worked in IBM Brazil’s Commercial Department advising large clients in the financial services sector. He holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and an MBA from the Ross School of Business, The University of Michigan, USA.

Sergio Passos Ribeiro heads our Operational, Financial and IT departments as our Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Between 2006 and 2009, he was responsible for accounting at Banco Pactual. He joined Banco Pactual in 1998 and was initially responsible for tax planning. Prior to his time at Banco Pactual, he was a financial consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds a degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Universidade Santa Úrsula, an MBA in Finance from Ibmec RJ, and an Executive MBA from the COPPEAD Graduate School of Business of UFRJ.

Vinicius is an executive with 30 years of experience in the investment and insurance industry. He joined Vinci Partners in 2021 and is responsible for Vinci Retirement Services. He started his career in 1990 at Banco Icatu, with later stints at Ativa Corretora, Credit Suisse and GP Asset Management, where he worked in several functions related to treasury, wealth management and asset management. In 2007, Vinicius joined the Bradesco Group as Treasury Superintendent at Bradesco BBI. He was Treasury Director of Banco Bradesco (2009-2013), CFO of Grupo Bradesco Seguros (2013-2016), CEO of BRAM – Bradesco Asset Management (2016-2018) and CEO of Grupo Bradesco Seguros (2018-2020). Vinicius was Vice-President of ANBIMA (2016-2018) and Vice-President of CNseg (2018-2020). Vinicius holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from PUC/RJ, and he attended the AMP (Advanced Management Program) at ISE-IESE (2016).
